How compliance review and edits work

What happens after you submit, why edits are requeued, and how to fix a flagged listing without losing your place.

Compliance is a gate, not a punishment. The board runs the same checks on every listing so candidates can trust the pay and terms they see, and so approved employers are not undercut by vague or misleading posts.

Two layers of review

The first layer is deterministic: required fields, valid ranges, commission details repeated in the description, and a minimum description length. These rules run at submission and at admin approval; a hard failure stops the listing from going live.

The second layer is an AI reviewer that looks for vague, contradictory or misleading wording. It is advisory. A person on the board team sees its findings in the compliance pane and decides whether to request a change.

The twice-daily check

New and edited listings enter a review queue. The queue is processed twice a day, and every edit — including edits made after publishing — resets the listing’s check so the current text is what gets reviewed.

A check can pass, flag the listing for review, or error if the AI provider is unavailable. Rules-only results still count: a listing that passes the hard rules but has no AI review is not treated as failed.

Fixing a flagged listing

Open the listing from your dashboard, correct the pay range, commission terms, workplace, classification or description, and save. Saving requeues the review automatically. You do not need to delete and repost.

If a listing was blocked at approval, the admin view shows which rule failed. Fix that field first; vague assurances in the description do not override a missing range or classification.

Common questions

Why did my live listing get flagged after an edit?

Edits are treated as new content. If the edit removed or contradicted a required disclosure, the listing is flagged until corrected.

Does an AI flag automatically unpublish my job?

No. AI findings are advisory and reviewed by a person. Hard rule failures block approval and can flag a listing, but an AI-only concern does not silently remove a post.

Still need help?

Open the listing from your dashboard to correct it, or reply to the moderation notice with the job title and the change you made.
