Store and reuse multiple resumes

Create a free account, save up to ten resume versions, choose one per application, and keep control of your files.

One resume rarely fits every application. A commercial electrician and a maintenance supervisor role may need different emphasis, and a career-change application may need a different opening. The resume library keeps those versions ready without retyping anything.

Create and verify your account

Go to My resumes and create an account with your name, email and a password of at least eight characters. We send a verification link that expires in 24 hours. You must verify your email before the library unlocks — that protects your files from someone who guesses your address.

If the email does not arrive, check spam, then request another link from the sign-in page.

Upload versions, not duplicates

Give each file a name you will recognize: “Commercial electrical — 2026”, “Supervisor — bilingual”, “Warehouse — no CDL”. Accepted formats are PDF, DOC, DOCX and TXT, up to 5 MB each, with a maximum of ten saved resumes.

Keep the layout plain and the claims truthful. The board extracts text so employers and our matching tools can read it; tables, text boxes and graphics can disappear in that process.

Choose a resume on each application

When you are signed in, the apply form shows a list of your saved versions. The default is selected automatically; pick another if the role calls for it. If you upload a new file during an application, it is added to your library and used for that application.

Each application keeps its own copy. If you later edit or delete a saved resume, an employer who already received your application still sees the version you sent — not the new one.

Default, download and delete

Your default resume is the one used for the board’s optional talent search and pre-selected on applications. You can change the default at any time.

Download any saved file from My resumes. Delete a version you no longer need; deleting it removes the stored file but does not change applications already submitted.

Common questions

Who can see my saved resumes?

Only you, until you apply with one. When you apply, that version is shared with the employer for that job. Board administrators can access resumes for moderation and support, as described in the privacy policy.

Can I apply without saving a resume?

Yes. Guest applications and applications without a resume are allowed. The library is a convenience, not a requirement.
